Zusammenfassung:To solve the low energy utilization and high pollutant emission caused by the incompatibility between the combustion flame shape and the heating surface structure of the stove chamber, the concept of flame adaptability was proposed based on the adaptability theory of synergetics. A flame adaptability evaluation model was established to quantitatively evaluate the adaptability of flames and an integrated Chinese cooking stove. Six suitability evaluation indexes were determined, including temperature uniformity, reflux area, pollutant emission, flow resistance, heat transfer intensity, and heat transfer power consumption. And the flame adaptability of the integrated Chinese cooking stove under different working conditions was calculated and analyzed. The study shows that after adding an adaptive structure with the appropriate structural parameters, the experimentally measured flame length and the NOx emission had been reduced by about 48.6% and 80%, respectively, and the adaptive degree of the flame and the stove chamber is the highest at 0.841 with proper structure parameter, while it was 0.406 before adaptability improvement, which shows that it is feasible to applying the flame adaptability method to evaluate the fit state of flame and combustion space, and more importantly, it provides a viable way for efficient energy utilization. •Flame adaptability was proposed based on adaptability theory of synergetics.•Quantitatively evaluating the flame adaptability of an integrated Chinese cooking stove.•A flame adaptability evaluation model was built including six evaluating indexes.
