The authors publish the first tablet of a hitherto unknown Roman will. The testamentum was written with ink on a wooden tablet on April 12th 340 AD. Iulius Pompeianus, the otherwise unknown testator, designates as heirs his children Iulius Ianuarius, Iulius Iahin and Iulia Victorina. The will reflects the use of traditional iuridical formulas in the 4th century.
