Zusammenfassung:We aimed to analyze the clinical and histopathologic characteristics of longitudinal melanonychia (LM), explore the differences between adults and children, and propose some recommendations. Data on pigmentation, lentigo, subungual melanoma (SUM), and nail matrix nevus (NMN) were acquired for comparison. Lesions on thumbs in the children's group were significantly fewer (  = 0.006) than in adults. Lesions on little fingers in children were more than in adults; the difference was statistically significant ( = 0.025). The widths of bands in adults were wider than in children (
