Zusammenfassung: | In this technological and scientific research article the academic and professional insertion strategies of a cohort of urban public school graduates in the city of Manizales (Colombia) are described. To this effect the academic and professional trajectories of a sample consisting of 42 graduates are compared, for the years 2000-2002. Taken into account are the combinatory and alternating modes in which interests, opportunities, formative experiences, temporary and permanent jobs occur. An analytical scheme for trajectories of a young generation under contemporary capitalism conditions is proposed. In the end, this generation’s different modes of insertion under changing job conditions are analysed, in their quest not to become irrelevant. |
