Las pinturas murales de la iglesia de San Pedro de Torremocha de Jarama

Earliest documentation refering to the church of Torremocha in Spain dates to the early 11th century. The church, however, became more recognized in the 16th century. Local historians have dated the original temple to the early medieval period, although some segments seem older. Archaeology hypothesizes eighth-century architecture. An essay is presented that examines the history of the church. It focuses on the architecture and its mural paintings discovered in 1986.
