Zusammenfassung:The in-situ chemical oxidation is a modern innovative decontamination technique, which is based on the infiltration of a strongoxidizing agent into the aquifer, where the pollutants are decomposed to harmless substances. Leaving the technical specificson a locality out of consideration, the basic limitation factor for a practical utilization restraint is the natural oxidant demand, whichis observed on the localities in varying degrees. This study deals with looking for different parameters of solids responsible for nontarget potassium permanganate consumption. For laboratory experiments the various sample collection was sorted out and the retrieveddata were treated by a statistical method. In light of economical and ecological aspect, the limiting factor for the application of thistechnique is the content of organic carbon in material, which is exposed to permanganate. The permanganate consumption dependenceon the organic carbon content has a linear character in a wide range.
