in the furnace under vacuum and low temperature to form MoB, Al

Mo, B
2
O
3
, and Al
2
O
3
. At higher temperature, MoAlB first decomposed into MoB and Al. Al was oxidized to Al
2
O
3
. The thermal stability of MoAlB powder was better under the protection of Ar. However, molten salt heat treatment and additives such as B and C could promote the decomposition of MoAlB |
