Technification of the panela agroindustry: alternative of employability of income in Convencion, N. de S

To propose the modernization of the panela agroindustry as the most viable and effective alternative in generating employment and income for the population of the municipality of Convencion, thus contributing to economic development, the reconstruction of the social fabric and the achievement of peaceful coexistence. The applied methodology was framed under the Methodological Manual for the Raising of the Municipal Productive Profile established by the United Nations Development Program, relying on descriptive research with a documentary design, identifying the existing difficulties of the agricultural sector, as a consequence of the constant abandonment of the State and the culture of easy money derived from the business of illicit crops. The determination of the sample was through Neyman's stratified sampling by affixation. The results showed the need to technify 10 sugar mills to increase the production and quality of the product, in addition to the adaptation of 200 hectares of Caña Panelera, for the transformation and commercialization of panela, diversifying its presentation. Concluding that the modernization of the panela cane production process is the option for employability and income generation.
