Zusammenfassung:An activated clay was used as adsorbent for the adsorption of astrozone red from aqueous solution.The Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm constants were determined and the effects of contact time, initial concentration and particle size were studied. The effect of temperature on the adsorption was examined and the thermodynamic parameters were determined. Besides the batch studies, the adsorption of astrozon red was studied using fixd bed column. The effect of solution rate on the adsorption capacity was also studied.
