Zusammenfassung: | Palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP) is a chronic dermatosis that presents as multiple, small, hyperkeratotic or pustular lesions predominantly affecting the palms and soles. It is characterized by eruptions of sterile pustules on an erythematous squamous background. A 57 year old man presenting with recurrent pruritic palmar sterile pustules of 5 years duration following prolonged exposure and handling of stationaries and paper materials at place of work using his bare hands. Patient does not smoke cigarette, he is not a known diabetic, no history suggestive of autoimmune disorders and no family history of psoriasis. Histopathologic findings revealed multiple spongiotic vesicles containing mononuclear cells and neutrophils within the malphigian layer.
