Zusammenfassung:Porous hydroxyapatite doped SiO coatings were electrophoretically deposited (EPD) on commercially pure titanium. The influence of EPD parameters on coatings quality was investigated. Microstructural observation was done using transmission and scanning electron microscopy as well as X-ray diffractometry. The coatings consisted of spherical micro and nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite (HAp) as well as amorphous SiO nanoparticles. The coatings exhibited open porosity with pore diameter up to 1 μm and due to presence of nanoparticles high surface development. It was found that application of SiO /HAp coating increase corrosion resistance of titanium in Ringer’s solution.
