Technical intelligentsia as a subject of introduction of advanced production technologies

Background. Technical intelligentsia – the personnel base of industry, production, a highly educated part of the research staff engaged in development and research. The professional activity of this social layer is directly associated with the introduction of advanced production technologies that are based on digital support. In this regard, the modern technical intelligentsia is a subject of these processes and acts not only as a carrier and generator of advanced ideas, but as an active participant in implementation processes. The purpose of the work – to study real opportunities and promising directions for the modern technical intelligentsia to become a full-fledged subject and active participant in the processes of introducing advanced production technologies. Materials and methods. The author ʼs approach to the consideration of the technical intelligentsia as a social subject, i.e. based on the understanding of this layer as an active person and participant in the processes of introducing advanced production technologies; calculations of authors based on Rosstat data, an expert survey “Innovative activities of the technical intelligentsiaˮ conducted by the authors in 2019 (n = 51), general theoretical methods of classification and analysis. Results. The presented analysis of the experts’ opinion reflects their assessment of the priority of the main directions of the state scientific, technical and industrial policy, classified the problems associated with the introduction of advanced production technologies. Conclusions. Based on the results of the expert opinion analysis, it was concluded that it is possible to manifest its subjectivity and form an increasingly active professional position in such areas as (by hierarchy): managerial and organizational, financial and economic, scientific and will form.
