INFLUÊNCIAS DA TERCEIRA REGÊNCIA DA ESPANHA NA OPINIÃO PÚBLICA: O FINANCIAMENTO AO PROCURADOR GENERAL DE LA NACIÓN Y DEL REY DURANTE AS CORTES DE CÁDIS

Resumo Durante o período da ocupação francesa na Espanha, diversas forças políticas buscaram ocupar o vazio de poder ocasionado pela captura do legítimo monarca, Fernando VII, por Napoleão Bonaparte. Projetos eram discutidos e apresentados em novos espaços, criados a partir da crise do Antigo Regime. Em consequência, grupos contrarrevolucionários também fizeram uso das novas ferramentas criadas pelos defensores da inovação política. A proposta do presente artigo é analisar como o embate entre a Terceira Regência da Espanha e as Cortes de Cádis influenciaram as publicações do periódico servil El Procurador General de la Nación y del Rey, que recebeu financiamento da Terceira Regência durante parte de suas publicações. A proposta deste texto é justamente apontar as situações em que esse vínculo esteve mais evidente. Abstract During the period of the French occupation in Spain, various political forces sought to fill the power vacuum caused by Napoleon Bonaparte’s capture of the legitimate monarch, Ferdinand VII. Projects were discussed and presented in new spaces, created from the crisis of the Old Regime. In consequence, counterrevolutionary groups also made use of the new tools created by advocates of political innovation. The purpose of this paper is to analyze how the clash between the Spanish Third Regency and the Cadiz Cortes influenced the publications of the servil periodical El Procurador General de la Nación y del Rey. This periodical received funding from the Third Regency during part of its publications and the purpose of this text is to point out the situations in which this link was possibly most evident.
