Zusammenfassung:Abstract Liposarcoma is predominantly a disease of adulthood with the peak incidence around the 5th to 6th decade of life and with a slight predominance in males. Liposarcomas are rare in childhood, representing about 2% of all childhood soft tissue sarcomas, with the peak incidence occurring in the second decade of life. Liposarcomas occurring in infancy are extremely rare, with less than 5 cases documented in medical literature. We herein report a fungating myxoid liposarcoma of the left gluteal region in a 9 month old infant.
