PREPARED FROM DOMESTIC MATERIALS FOR TREATMENT OF PATIENTS AFTER STROKE USING THE METHOD OF MAINTAINING POSITION

Development of effective methods of restorative treatment for patients after stroke is an important medical and social problem. A lack of effective and timely medical rehabilitation can lead to loss of limb function. The study is devoted to the assessment of application of immobilization splints prepared from the thermoformed composite of domestic production in medical rehabilitation using the method of maintaining position. The study is based on observations of 57 patients with cerebral stroke in the early recovery period. It has been proven that using of immobilization splints from the thermoformable composite of domestic production in the early recovery period is more effective as compared to the use of devices incapable of creating an individual form. This is demonstrated by statistically significant increase in a number of indices as compared to the control group.
