Zusammenfassung: | This study examines the management of cash waqf and its implication for the development of social entrepreneurship at Nazhir Kurir Langit and Dompet Dhuafa in South Sulawesi Province. The study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. In collecting data, researchers conducted direct observation of the two institutions. Interviews were designed to obtain various and valuable information from the chosen informants. In addition, researchers distributed questionnaires to observe nazhir’s response to managing cash waqf. Data analysis was done in three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The study results showed that Kurir Langit institution received cash waqf of more than IDR 3 billion in 2021 out of IDR 10 billion in other social fund receipts. The Dompet Dhuafa institution collected IDR 120 million cash waqf and IDR 3 billion zakat funds. Cash waqf is directly invested in tangible assets in the form of immovable waqf objects. The investment has annual reports and monitoring. The distribution of cash waqf is intended to help construct mosque facilities, Islamic boarding schools, and scholarships and assist Tahfidz Al-Qur’an institution assistance. The challenges faced are the low literacy and professionalism of nazhir in managing waqf. |
