Zusammenfassung:Introduction: surgical service is one of the most important within the hospital institutions. However, in these centers, there is no standardized application managing the processes in this area. When performing a surgical procedure, large volumes of information are collected. This process is generally done by hand, without covering all the necessary information and in cases where the process is computerized; the software existing is expensive, based on proprietary technologies or does not provide a standard solution that meets all requirements. Objective: to digitalize the announcements and operative reports at León Cuervo Rubio Hospital, Pinar del Río. Method: throughout a technological development research that defines the principles, technologies and methodologies used in the design and implementation of an Application Programming Interface (API) that provides the necessary functionalities to manage the information generated in the announcements and operative reports. Results: an Application Programming Interface was implemented, which provides the necessary functionalities to manage the information related to the announcements and the reports the surgeries. Its use reduces errors in data processing and loss of information. Thus, it is possible to permanently store legible and detailed information, being able to be consulted at any time as a source of studies and analysis. Conclusion: by means of the Application Programming Interface it was possible to computerize the surgical announcements and operative reports.
