Zusammenfassung:Key clinical Message Human subcutaneous dirofilariasis is an infection caused by filarial worms. Due to the recent rise of human disease, it is considered as an emerging zoonosis. Most of the cases in children recorded in India had ocular infection; very few subcutaneous cases of dirofilariasis have been reported in children. Histopathological examination showed foreign body granuloma with deeper sections showing cross sections of dirofilaria worm.
