Zusammenfassung:In the last two decades, mobbing has been one of the topics of research in work and organizational psychology. Since its inception in 2001, the Service of Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology (Serpa) at the University of Murcia has been working on this problem, which has a leading role and impact in work and social fields. This text is an overview of the most interesting findings by this research group and their comparison with other results that appear in the scientific literature. We begin with questions on the delimitation of the concept, forms of quantification, the prevalence and the source of bullying behaviors. Subsequently we review the determinants and consequences, and we refer to a personal resource, self-efficacy, which may moderate the effects of harassment on health behaviors. Finally, we discuss the main forms of intervention and note some considerations with a view to adequate prevention.
