Zusammenfassung:We present the case of an 85-year-old woman who was admitted with acute worsening hypertension with previously documented chronically stable hypertension. The clinical presentation was caused by a severe Cushing syndrome, provoked by an ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone syndrome, and produced by a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor. The clinical report highlights the importance of an adequate diagnosis approach of secondary hypertension in older adults.
