Zusammenfassung:The radial patterns of 13 elements (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Na, Mn, Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd and Co) were analyzed in the tree rings of European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.). The study site was located in an 'unpolluted' beech ecosystem in Mavrovo National Park. Thus, the obtained radial patterns in the beech trees were considered to be physiologically driven without significant pollution influence. The influence of the main climatic factors (temperature and rainfall) was tested. The radial patterns of individual trees were compared in order to find individual responses to environmental impacts. For most of the elements, higher concentrations were recorded in the pith and outer-most rings and lower in the middle part of the wood. The concentration of heavy metals was low, and followed the physiological patterns of other biogenic elements. Dendroanaliza (dendrohemija) je metod razvijen sezdesetih godina XX veka (Hagemeyer and Lohrie, 1995) ciji je glavni cilj biomonitoring hemijskih parametara u zivotnoj sredini (Meisch et al., 1986; Penninckx et al., 1999). Ovaj rad prikazuje rezultate analize radijalnog rasporeda 13 elemenata (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Na, Mn, Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd i Co) u prstenovima bukve (Fagus sylvatica L.). u 'nezagadjenoj' sumi u Nacionalnom parku 'Mavrovo'. Dobijeni rasporedi pokazuju slicnost sa drugim istrazivanjima u Evropi. Najveci broj elemenata ima najvece vrednosti koncentracija u najaktivnijim (kambijalnim) prstenovima (sa izuzetkom Pb, Zn, Mn i verovatno Co) sto ukazuje na primarni znacaj fizioloskih procesa (osobito translokacije) u formiranju radijalnog rasporeda. Povecanje koncentracije teskih metala od kambijuma prema srzi stabla ukazuje i na znacaj detoksifikacije zivih tkiva procesom centripetalne translokacije. Odstupanja u koncentraciji nekih elemenata (Ca, Mg i Fe) u periodu 1985-1990 ukazuju i na prakticni znacaj koji ima dendrohemija kao istorijski arhiv promena u zivotnoj sredini. Korelacija koncentracije u prstenovima sa 5-godisnjim prosecnim vrednostima temperature i precipitacije pokazala je da koncentracija N, P, K, Mg, Na i Cu zavisi u prvom redu od temperature, a koncentracija Fe od godisnje precipitacije. S obzirom da je ispitivani ekosistem pod slabim uticajem polutanata, dobiveni radijalni rasporedi mogu se smatrati kao rezultat unutrasnjih fizioloskih procesa, a dobivena odstupanja mogu se objasniti uticajem klimatskih faktora.
