Zusammenfassung: | Alvarez shares the story of Debra Williby-Walker and her charismatic grandson who has given away more than 6,000 packets of vegetable seeds to families around the world. Brady came to live with her grandmother when he was barely three years old and at four, they started going everywhere together. She always done charity work--sending food to Ghana. While visiting the Christian nonprofit Heaven Sent Ministries, they packed rice for children around the world. There were even pictures of hungry children who were going to get the rice and other nutrients and maybe it was there that he got the idea that if other kids and people learned to plant seeds, they can grow their own food and feed themselves. The COVID-19 global pandemic that has convulsed the world at the start of 2020 has not affected the seed project of Brady. His project has grown beyond us, and he was fortunate that he had the seeds before this pandemic really hit and people started scrambling to find seeds for themselves. |
