Zusammenfassung:One specimen of the silver-cheeked toadfish, Lagocephalus sceleratus (Gmelin, 1789), was obtained for first time from the Sea of Marmara, offGelibolu, by trammel net in October 2008. The morphological features of this species were examined. The presently reported finding also represents the second documented occurrence of a puffer fish in the Sea of Marmara.
