Zusammenfassung:The murals in the private chapel commissioned by Georges de Challant at the Saint-Ours priory in Aosta (c. 1468-1470) were the subject of a meticulous cleaning between 2009 and 2012. After having described and put back in their historical context the various panels that adorn the walls, this article discusses the cleaning protocol implemented during these three years. From a meticulous study of sources, surfaces and stratigraphy, patterns of brocade applied to the costumes of the figures have been identified. The meticulous cleaning made it possible to return to the state of the pictorial surfaces before the restorations of the 19th Century.
