Zusammenfassung:Chronic inflammation is a common factor between atherosclerosis and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). IBD (both ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease [CD]) has been linked with arterial atherosclerotic events such as myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke. We present the case of a young male presenting with MI which was diagnosed to be due to an underlying CD.
