Zusammenfassung: | The aim of this study was to evaluate the application and effects of intratesticular use of a mixture containing vaseline and 30% acetylsalicylic acid for chemical castration in male rats. Twenty–eight male albino Wistar rats were divided into four groups: control, sham, vaseline, and vaseline + 30% salicylic acid mixture. The control group (K) received no injection, the Sham group (S) was injected with 1 mL of saline, the vaseline group (V) was injected with 1 mL of vaseline, and the vaseline + acetylsalicylic acid group (V+ASA) was injected with 1 mL of a mixture containing 30% acetylsalicylic acid and vaseline. A statistically significant difference (P=0.000) was determined between the vaseline (V) and vaseline + acetylsalicylic acid (V+ASA) groups. The Malondialdehyde (MDA) value of the vaseline group was found to be higher (3.197 ± 0.08) with a statistically significant difference (P=0.000) compared to the other groups. In terms of glutathione (GSH) value, a statistically significant difference (P |
