Retrieval of retained pigtail in the liver

Abstract The incidence of catheter breakage during percutaneous image-guided treatment of liver hydatid is very rare. A “telescoping” technique was used to retrieve the broken pigtail in this case report. Alternative options for pigtail retrieval are briefly discussed.
