To understand this phenomenon, the study employed the analysis of historical events through thematic, discourse, and content analysis of narratives and texts. The data analyzed is based on the qualitative analysis of secondary sources of data. The core objective of the study is to understand the process of decolonization and the development of Islamic philosophy in Pakistan. The findings of the study suggest that the decolonization process has had a significant bearing on the formation and development of religious ideology in Pakistan paying way to the growth of Islamism as a unified cultural and political force in the country.
