Nacionalización del interés, situaciones cotidianas y narrativas locales: de la frontera internacional a los límites culturales en una frontera pirenaica

This article presents the role of border zones in the concreteness of national identifications and categorizations. This is done through the case of Cerdanya (a Pyrenean Valley). Processes of construction of national identities are understood from local reality and interaction of groups. The text explains that the construction of collective feelings of identification and group categorizations takes place through three paths: negotiation in situations of conflict or tension, routine situations of interaction and narratives on contacts and relations in the border zone and on it.
