Zusammenfassung:A novel gedunin and two novel phragmalin-type limonoids, named carapanolides J-L (compounds 1-3) as well as a known gedunin-type limonoid 4 were isolated from the seeds of Carapa guianensis (andiroba). Their structures were determined on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy and HRFABMS. Compounds 1-4 were evaluated for their effects on the production of NO in LPS-activated mouse peritoneal macrophages.
