Zusammenfassung:In order to be used as matrix of lubricating material, epoxy resin needs to be modified to enhance its tribological properties. In this study, polyetheramine-functionalized graphene oxide was used to prepare epoxy composite. The mechanical properties, thermal properties and friction properties of composite materials with different types and contents of fillers were studied. 0.2 wt% polyetheramine-functionalized graphene oxide/epoxy composite exhibited the best tribological performance, that is, friction coefficient decreased by 54% and wear rate dropped by 94% compared with pure resin. The wear rate was reduced by 67%–94% in a wide content range (from 0.1 wt% to 0.4 wt%). Simultaneously, modified GO also enhanced thermal stability, and mechanical properties, including tensile strength, Young's modulus, elongation at break and microhardness due to enhanced dispersity and interface interaction in matrix. The excellent lubrication and anti-wear properties was attribute to the benign interaction of the composite and transfer film. It was further proved that polyetheramine modified graphene could improve the tribological properties of epoxy resin under heavy load and high slipping speed. The results showed a prospect to the practical applications of graphene and solve wear-related mechanical failures of epoxy resin.
