Zusammenfassung:HIV/ AIDS affects the heart late in the course of the disease. Many of these complications arise not because of the disease but because of the treatment of the disease itself. The various complications which may be seen include left ventricular systolic dysfunction, accelerated atherosclerosis, leading to coronary artery disease, and stroke, infective endocarditis, and pulmonary hypertension.
