Zusammenfassung:Analysis of the short-story “Fatalidade”, of Primeiras Estórias, and the references to Greek literature and philosophy, from intertexts with Homer, to the reverberation of passages from the Platonic dialogues. The reception of the classical universe in this short-story works with the topos of human and divine determinations on destiny, and uses the dichotomy between the physical order (physis) and the establishment of laws (nomoi).
