The sustainable tourism is a concept that begins to generate interest from the perspective of economic growth and development, by keeping the balance between production and natural resources. In the city of Ibague, the tourism is a fundamental part of the economic development goal for the year 2025. As a contribution to the construction of knowledge about the subject in the region a state of the art is set. That permit to visualize the strategic conceptual elements allowing to extend the action framework. Which can evaluate and measure the sustainability of tourism for its economic, environmental protection and social equity raised from the social realities of the strategic town of Ibague. Also the generation of a culture in tourism as a factor of regional entrepreneurship and social innovation.
