Tonsillectomy and social media: An investigative analysis of educational tonsillectomy content on TikTok

The collected DISCERN scores had a range from 0 to 4, with a standard deviation of 0.54. Since TikTok is a video-sharing platform used to watch videos that are less than a few minutes long, some of the questions from the DISCERN questionnaire were not applicable. To our knowledge, this is the only study to analyze and characterize both tonsillectomy content and any otolaryngology content on TikTok.
