Zusammenfassung:Development, improvement, operation and exploitation of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is a trend of today's society. According to these trends, the administrative-organizational capacities are being developed in the domain of the infrastructure and training of the professionals and the domain of rendering services to the businesses and citizens. The present paper provides a timeline overview since the e-Government introduction in the governmental institutions and local government units for the part on the property data search and use. The property data are under the competence of the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA) of the Republic of Serbia. A particular highlight was given to the RGA's portal for electronic communication with the private geodetic organizations that provide the services to the citizens, with communication along the lines of the civil sector - private geodetic organizations - governmental sector (RGA). E-communication speeds up the operations in the business processes of public administration and local government units. The electronic document submission is provided for the obliges of the ex officio submission, local government units, the Tax Administration, and the Local Tax Administrations. To highlight the degree of business processes improvement, the overview was made of electronic communications in neighboring countries - the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Northern Macedonia, and the Republic of Montenegro. The intent is to compare the existing state of geodetic administrations performing identical and similar works for the citizens. The conclusion yielded is that the Republic of Serbia is not lagging in the ICT implementation, due to the continuous improvements to the business process, while adhering to the standards and technical solutions.
