Zusammenfassung:In order to properly position the marketing program of the Olympic Games, it is necessary to get acquainted with the organization and the goals of the marketing of the Olympic Games. One of the most important tasks of marketing the Olympic Games is to provide resources sufficient enough for functioning and financial stability of the Olympic Games. The paper emphasizes the growing importance of marketing researches and the technology for the smooth running of the Olympic Games. Marketing the Olympic Games is not a new concept. It is a modern, wellstructured concept compared to the concept in the past. The benefits of marketing the Olympic Games has grown dramatically over the past twenty years. The Olympic Games, the world's largest sporting event, can bring significant changes in the economies of the host countries and cities. The most important changes are presented in the paper: economic effects, the effect on tourism and the improvement of environmental protection.
