mesons, photons, heavy flavor particles, and jets probe the formation of the QGP, and measurements of azimuthal anisotropies are sensitive to collective effects and the initial geometry of the collision. A selection of recent results from PHENIX with an emphasis on results from heavy ion collisions are discussed. |
