Zusammenfassung: | Small-cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) is a highly aggressive neuroendocrine tumour that usually presents as a centrally located mass or mediastinal lesion. It clinically manifests as a feature of airway obstruction or haemoptysis with paraneoplastic syndrome being common entity. Extrapulmonary origin and metastatic pleural involvement are rare. Primary pleural involvement without lung lesion is extremely rare in small-cell cancer. In this case series, we are describing clinical features with radiological findings and thoracoscopic appearance and histopathology of three cases diagnosed as small-cell lung cancer with primary pleural involvement and different paraneoplastic syndrome with their response to chemotherapy. |
