Zusammenfassung:Use of information technology in the health care systems is essential to enhance the quality of care. Nurses are the largest group of users for hospital information systems in any healthcare system. Therefore, understanding their views and how they use these systems can be effective in improving hospital information systems and public health quality. This survey study was conducted using the two primary keyword “nurses” and “hospital information system” and a total of 43 retrieved articles were included in the study. The selected articles were divided into 12 categories based on similarities in goals and aims. More articles concentrated on nurses’ attitudes toward the hospital information systems and despite their positive attitude, financial goals were covered more than clinical purposes. Despite the improved attitude of nurses toward hospital information systems, the need to improve nurses’ computer knowledge using updated and powerful software for covering users’ needs was strongly emphasized in these studies.
