This text seeks to highlight the originality of Vincent Bloch's book, Cuba. Une révolution, an interdisciplinary investigation that integrates history, historiography, political philosophy, political science, sociology, and anthropology into a cohesive analysis. Viewing revolution as the quintessential political phenomenon, the author aims to conceptualize it (drawing from philosophy and political theory) and examine it (through historical events and their narratives) to uncover the nature of the political regime established in Cuba by Una revolución. Following an exhaustive study, the author defines this regime as totalitarian. Le phénomène politique par excellence qui est la Révolution, fait l´objet d´une recherche, dans laquelle son auteur se propose d´en penser (à partir de la philosophie et de la théorie politique), et d’étudier la nature du régime qui à Cuba surgit après une révolution. Régime conçu comme totalitaire, et dont sa définition n’est pas formulée a priori par Bloch, mais elle est le résultat d’une enquête de terrain, qui en même temps discute des idées cruciales de Hannah Arendt, Raymond Aron et Claude Lefort sur le totalitarisme. Regime que se adverte totalitário, e cuja definição não é formulada a priori por Bloch, mas que é o resultado de uma investigação empírica, que ao mesmo tempo discute idéias cruciais de Hannah Arendt, Raymond Arond e Claude Lefort sobre o totalitarismo.
