Zusammenfassung: | This paper will examine the historical and cultural context of the Kingdom of Naples in the period in which Llull travelled there. It will attempt to sketch an outline of the use of the different Romance languages in the Regno at a time when it was populated by the many French and Occitan families who had followed Charles I in his conquest of the kingdom, as well as by Tuscans and obviously natives of southern Italy.
