Propuesta metodológica para la creación de un geoportal de servicios ecosistémicos: Estudio de caso: reserva de producción de fauna de Chimborazo – Ecuador

The present research aims a methodological proposal for creating a geoportal of ecosystem services, specifically for The Wildlife Production Reserve Chimborazo in Ecuador. Objetives are next, in order to comply with the methodological propose: Analyze the diagnosis of the ecosystem services of the Reserve, make maps of the ecosystem services and structure the geoportal of the ecosystem services of the Reserve. As a result of the research, it was obtained that, according to the analysis made for classificating the ecosystem services proposed by Ecosystem Assessment, 2005) & (Zhicay, 2016). It was obtained 39 functional features and 60 supplying units for 17 ecosystem services of supply, regulation and cultural. Furthermore, based on the information obtained in the first objective, the geo data base of each ecosystem service was completed and structured in relation to the cartography of the supply units using Microsoft Access ® software. After this, a chronological and systemic process was created to develop the thematic maps of the ecosystem services diagnosed of the reserve with CARTO software on line. Then, the thematic maps were created using Arcgis software and finally, the geoportal was developed. In conclusion, it was determined that the geoportal of the ecosystem services of the Reserve should be conceived as a tool for strategic planning that generates, raises, and disseminates reliable, clear, timely and accurate information of reality, about the current status of the benefits obtained from said protected area. The geoportal of the ecosystem services of the Reserve is a reference to be applied in any territory or area of study that needs the registration and storage of information for spatial analysis. En el presente trabajo de investigación se plantea una propuesta metodológica, para la creación de un geoportal de servicios ecosistémicos, se trabaja específicamente para la Reserva de Producción de Fauna de Chimborazo, Ecuador.
