Caracterización Socioeconómica Productiva de los Sistemas Cafetaleros de la Parroquia La Unión-Jipijapa-Ecuador

The socio-productive characterization of a place allows us to identify the type of agriculture and related activities carried out by the inhabitants to achieve or maintain a certain lifestyle. With the objective of characterizing the socio-productive aspects of the coffee production systems of the La Unión parish. In the research, the field methodology was applied, where the research site was visited and a total of 60 surveys were carried out, which were divided into three communities; San Eloy, El Carmen and La Unión. The results showed that there was no significant difference in socioeconomic aspects between the communities, the majority of people managed to reach a level of primary education; In the productive aspects, it is evident that coffee cultivation is not so profitable, for this reason the inhabitants choose to plant other types of crops or, failing that, dedicate themselves to livestock or poultry farming. It is concluded that in the three communities that were studied regarding the level of education, the majority of coffee growers have reached at least primary level. La caracterización socio productiva de un lugar permite identificar el tipo de agricultura y actividades afines que realizan los habitantes para lograr o mantener cierto estilo de vida. Con el objetivo de caracterizar los aspectos socio productivos de los sistemas de producción cafetaleros de la parroquia La Unión. En la investigación se aplicó la metodología de campo, donde se acudió al sitio de investigación y se efectuaron un total de 60 encuestas las mismas que se dividieron en tres comunidades; San Eloy, El Carmen y La Unión. Los resultados mostraron que no hubo diferencia significativa en los aspectos socioeconómicos entre las comunidades, la mayoría de las personas logran alcanzar un nivel de estudio primario; en el aspecto productivo se evidencia que el cultivo de café no es tan rentable, por esta razón los habitantes optan por sembrar otro tipo de cultivos o en su defecto dedicarse a la ganadería o avicultura. Se concluye que en las tres comunidades que se estudiaron en lo que refiere al nivel de educación la mayoría de los caficultores ha alcanzado al menos el nivel primario.
