Zusammenfassung: | The aim of this study is to analyse the characteristics of research that addresses the experiences of female students in the field of Physical Education. To achieve this, a systematic review was conducted, starting with an initial selection of 196 articles, resulting in a final corpus of 24 articles that met the established inclusion criteria. The collection of studies was conducted in the open ERIC database, as well as in the closed databases of SocINDEX, Academic Search Ultimate, and Education Source through EBSCO, as well as in Web of Science. The bibliometric results reveal that scientific production in this field is still in its early stages during the reviewed period. Most of the production is concentrated in the United States and England. Regarding the qualitative results, it was determined that most experiences in Physical Education classes are influenced by gender, with a large majority of women reporting negative experiences. In conclusion, there is a clear need to continue researching and addressing the experiences of female students in Physical Education in order to get a better understanding of the factors that influence their experiences and promote inclusive and equitable environments in this area, encouraging the participation and well-being of women in Physical Education classes. Key words: (Physical Education), (women students), (women’s education), (gender issues). |
