Zusammenfassung: | The objective of this research article was to determine the relationship between emotional
intelligence and resilience in elementary students from the educational institution 80409 in
Pueblo Nuevo, 2021. For this, a basic, transactional and correlational investigation was carried
out. The population consisted of 60 students, the technique was a survey and the instrument two
questionnaires, one designed to measure emotional intelligence, made up of 12 items, and the
questionnaire for resilience: made up of 12 items. data was by expert judgment. To calculate the
content validity, a pilot test was used, for the reliability calculation the Cronbach's Alpha result
0.911. For the analysis of the results and the calculation of the correlation, the normality test of
Kolmogorov Smirnov was used, since the participants exceeded 35 (60 students), since the data
tend to a non-normal distribution, the Rho Spearman coefficient was applied. to find the existing
correlation. The results found indicate that emotional intelligence has a strong relationship with
resilience in elementary school students of the Institution, since Spearman being equal to 0.912, it
means that an adequate development of emotional intelligence, the greater the development of
resilience, due to its On the other hand, the emotional awareness dimension has a moderate
relationship with resilience in students of the Institution, with Spearman equal to 0.50. Regarding
the emotional regulation dimension, it has a strong relationship with resilience in students, with
Spearman being 0.920, likewise, the autonomy dimension has a significant relationship with
resilience. It is concluded that: the educational institution apply psychopedagogical intervention
strategies to raise the levels of emotional intelligence and resilience of the educated in order to
optimize their academic performance and raise the level and quality of the educational process
that the institution offers.
