Zusammenfassung: | Human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation is considered the form of "slavery" of the
21st century, among the common characteristics of the victims are: social inequality,
unemployment or precarious jobs, low level of education and irregular migrant status. This problem
mainly affects the mental health of the survivors causing: Depression, Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety or combinations of the three. The objective of this research is to describe
the psychotherapeutic approaches that allow the reestablishment of the mental health of victims of
trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation; for which a systematic bibliographic review was
carried out with a search using keywords, in the scientific databases Scopus and Scielo, and using
the PRISMA method, 165 records were selected to apply the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 4
articles with previous data were attached. due to the conceptual richness necessary in this
investigative work, obtaining 19 scientific articles that are the basis of this systematic review. In
the articles reviewed, it was possible to show that the psychotherapeutic treatment with the greatest
evidence is Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TCC-CT) improving self-control,
increasing self-confidence, social skills, managing intrusive thoughts, actions and emotional
outbursts, significantly reducing the symptoms of PTSD, followed by Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) causing the gradual and systematic reduction of
reactions of fear, fear, anxiety, feelings and negative thoughts, in relation to the traumatic
experience lived and Narrative Exposure Therapy (TEN) reducing the symptoms of PTSD
generating in the victim the ability to process the trauma and reduce the level of anguish. Likewise,
it is imperative to address the needs of survivors from a gender, culturally sensitive, holistic
perspective and in coordination with various state levels and NGOs, which guarantee
comprehensive health, social services, security, housing, legal advice, financial aid, reintegration
community for victims.
