Zusammenfassung:In the present report, we highlight the first occurrence of Pyralis farinalis Linnaeus, 1758 (Pyraloidea: Pyralidae) from India. The specimen was collected from Tehsil Herman, district of Shopian in Kashmir valley, which is situated at the foothills of Pir Panjal Mountain range-Northwestern Himalayas, India; it is 50 km away from Srinagar, Kashmir.
