questionnaires addressed to employers, graduates, students and academics were created, the
reliability analysis was carried out, finding that the questionnaires have acceptable reliability. For
the questionnaire addressed to employers the (α=0.75), for graduates (α=0.73), for students
(α=0.77) and for academics the (α8=0.68). The main results obtained indicate that 66.6% of
students, 95% of clinical psychologist professionals, 66.7% of employers and 63.4% academics
consider that clinical psychologists will be very necessary for the development of the country,
therefore It was therefore concluded that the demand for training clinical psychologists in
Ecuador lies in their ability to address the growing mental health needs of the population, their
cultural sensitivity, evidence-based practices, interdisciplinary collaborations, and advocacy
efforts. By continuing to promote and prioritize clinical psychology, we can contribute to the
general well-being and resilience of Ecuadorian individuals and communities.
