Zusammenfassung:In order to analyze the effectiveness of care in nutritional recovery treatment in children diagnosed with acute and chronic malnutrition in an outpatient setting, a retrospective study of the cases treated at the Private Infant Nutrition Recovery Center between May 2008 And December 2015. The inclusion criteria were: patients with nutritional diagnosis of acute and chronic malnutrition from neonates to 12 years of age with three to six controls at least in a twelve-month period. We studied 344 children: nutritionally diagnosed of which they ended treatment 105 with chronic malnutrition and 92 acute, moderate and severe acute malnutrition with outpatient mode and that ended the nutritional recovery treatment with anthropometric measurements by means of weight, height and perimeter Cephalic, paired for nutritional diagnosis of income, age and sex. The nutritional recovery criteria used were the Weight-Talla- cephalic perimeter indicator below the tenth percentile. There was no relationship between the mode of care and nutritional recovery. In the group of mild malnourished the percentage of patients recovered who maintained this condition at 6 months was 83% (15/18) in outpatient mode. The ages of the children fluctuate between 0 months and 12 years, with associated pathologies, dietary treatment, nutritional caloric regimen, number of intercurrences, educational level and age of the mother, showed no significant association with nutritional recovery 6 months of intervention. The ambulatory modality proved to be effective in the treatment of nutritional recovery in mild, moderate and severe children by installing the Zinc trace element in the form of sulfate, it is considered appropriate to carry out new studies, increasing the size of the sample.
